One of the things I love at the church is my door. Now this is very self-satisfied of me, because I am obviously the one who built it, but I love the controversy that it causes.

Well, it seems that, barring any massive or unseen change, we, as a country, are in the upswing out of the pandemic and will be returning to normalcy over the coming months. With the rollout of the vaccine smoothing over and more states opening up and lowering restrictions, it seems that we are on the mend. The first and most important response is to praise God for his sovereign hand guiding all things during this time and leading us out on the other end. For it is only by his will that all things have come to pass. So, we should lift up praise and worship to him, not just on Sundays, but on every day.

For many people the Christmas season begins the day after Thanksgiving, for others it is when Advent officially starts, and still for others it could be when we actually get around to decorating our living spaces. For me though, it is when I see the first snow. Well, that happened today, the time I am writing this.

Well, well, well. Here we are. Just a few days before the election. As you all I know, I greatly enjoy politics. In fact, I am taking vacation for election day and the day after. It is essentially a national holiday for my friends and I. My personal prediction is that either I will be so right or so wrong.

I moved into my apartment last year on August 1st in order to give myself a month to settle in the area, and get acquainted with my surroundings before I started here at CPC. I was extremely nervous to start this new job. Especially being a young pastor with this church being my first call. Something I have taught myself to do though, it to look towards the future. I do this before I enter into anything that makes me nervous. I ask myself, “How will I be feeling about this in a year?”
