One of the things I love at the church is my door. Now this is very self-satisfied of me, because I am obviously the one who built it, but I love the controversy that it causes.

It is Summer time, and you know what that means! Mostly clear skies, green trees, extremely humid New Jersey Summers, but even more importantly, it is a time to sit down and enjoy a hot summer read.
Well, it seems that, barring any massive or unseen change, we, as a country, are in the upswing out of the pandemic and will be returning to normalcy over the coming months. With the rollout of the vaccine smoothing over and more states opening up and lowering restrictions, it seems that we are on the mend. The first and most important response is to praise God for his sovereign hand guiding all things during this time and leading us out on the other end. I moved into my apartment last year on August 1st in order to give myself a month to settle in the area, and get acquainted with my surroundings before I started here at CPC. I was extremely nervous to start this new job. Especially being a young pastor with this church being my first call. Something I have taught myself to do though, it to look towards the future. I do this before I enter into anything that makes me nervous. I ask myself, “How will I be feeling about this in a year?”
